THE IMPORTANCE OF WOMEN ACROSS THE HISTORY Part 2

Hello,

as I told you in my last post, here you have the rest of the project in more details.
I did with my group "Girl power" that is formed by: Silvia Gato, Patricia Portela, Lucia Roza, Laura Carballo and me. We really enjoyed the process because all of us worked hard and we share responsabilities.
First of all we have prepared all materials before going to the Ministry: clothes, accessories and visuals. We went there to Future classroom Lab where we found the resources necessaries for us to record the video like the chroma wall.

We had funny moments there. We practiced the dialogues and we spent 50 minutes recording the video. We recorded the video in order to use it in a flipped classroom. Do you know what is a flipped classroom? Is a blended learning strategy with the aim to improve student engagement and outcomes. This methodology let teacher use their free time to support and asses the students.
I think the video will be really useful in class because we catch our student attention eye and they learn while they are having fun. Also is useful to work a lot of subjects: arts (Coco Channel, Frida Kahlo and Marilyn Monroe), Science (Grace Hopper and Marie Curie), History (Joan of Arch and Cleopatra) and Values (Teresa de Calcuta, Malala Yousafzai and Naomi Parker). Our students will learn a lot of things through the life of these women. They will show the differences between men and women in the past in our society and think about how is this situation now.

We have used Movie Maker to create our video because we think that is easy and intuitive. There are more apps that let you edit videos: Media Player or iMovie.
Movie Maker is an app where you can edit your videos. There you will find many tools, you can add videos, music, images, credits, title, etc. Before start the editing process is important have in the same folder all the materials that you will need. You have to insert your videos and you can start the process. If you are not really good using Movie Maker you can watch a video in youtube that explains you the whole process.

To conclude, we chose that topic because is related with values and we consider very important work with little children. It is important also know about the past to understand the present.
I have really enjoyed doing this activity. It will be always in my mind.

All my classmates in the Ministry

I hope you enjoy the post! :)

EDUCATIONAL INFOGRAPHICS

Hi mates! Today I would like to show you what an infographic is. As I said in my last post, nowadays we have lots of new tools. Our students must be able to develop many competences and for them is very important to learn strategies to organize and analyze their knowledges. Infographic is a tool to create pictures with your computer. How we can do it? It is so easy, you have many webs where you can do it. It is very interesting because our pupils can create a picture with the most important information of one unit, topic or project. In that case I used the infographic with my first graders. I have created a poster with the most important information that we learnt in the first unit of science. I think that is very striking and attractive for them. Also the can learn how to abstract the most important information of a text. Here I would like to give you tips to create a good one. The infographic must contain: -Title -Body -Explanatory text -Source -Authorship and license No...
